How to Automate Weekly Social Media Content with AI

Build a repeatable brief, generation, review, and scheduling routine with Barnabas.

AI can help with the work before a post reaches the calendar: finding angles, drafting captions, creating graphics, and turning a topic into a blog or reel. A useful weekly workflow gives the assistant clear facts and boundaries, then keeps a person responsible for reviewing the result. The Social Scheduler connects these steps so you can carry a brief through to scheduled content in one workspace.

    Step-by-step setup

    1. 1.Connect destinations and prepare your brand context

Open Platforms & integrations and connect the social accounts and blogs you will use. Set up your brand context with your audience, voice, products, approved links, and current offers. Include source material for factual claims rather than asking AI to invent business details.

    2. 2.Give Barnabas a specific weekly brief

Specify the number of posts, topics, destinations, and formats. For example: create three distinct posts for next week for LinkedIn and Instagram—one helpful tip, one product story, and one event reminder. Include required words for each graphic, exact dates and offers, and anything to avoid.

    3. 3.Review the plan before generation

Check that the plan contains distinct topics, the correct formats, and the words you requested on graphics. Ask Barnabas to fix missing requirements before approving generation. Review the credit estimate and your available balance; video and image costs can differ.

    4. 4.Generate and refine the drafts

Generate the approved plan, then inspect the draft cards. Ask for targeted text changes or select the drafts that need revision. Choose Use to accept a text refinement. A graphic redo starts a new generation job and requires the credit confirmation shown in the app.

    5. 5.Complete editorial and platform checks

Verify facts, names, prices, dates, links, image text, video audio, and brand tone. Review each destination's version and preview. Confirm you have permission to use the assets and follow the destination's requirements for AI-generated content.

    6. 6.Schedule the reviewed week and monitor results

Move the approved content into the scheduler, choose the dates and times, and complete any required team approval. Check delivery after publication. Use the previous week's results and customer questions to improve the next brief; repeat the workflow or configure a recurring schedule with deliberate publishing settings.

A weekly brief you can reuse

Try this: 'Create three different posts for our neighborhood bakery next week. Use LinkedIn and Instagram. Monday: explain how we prepare sourdough. Wednesday: show our seasonal loaf. Friday: remind people about Saturday collection. Use a warm, clear voice. Use only the offer details in my attached notes. Put “Saturday collection” on the Friday graphic. Leave the posts as drafts for my review.'

Replace the business, facts, and dates each week. Tell Barnabas whether you want graphics, reels, blog drafts, or emails, then check the proposed plan. An exact image-text request is different from a caption request; specify both when both matter.

Connect the creation workflow to a real publishing destination

Authorize the correct business account in Platforms & integrations and finish any Page or organization selection. For a blog, connect Wix, WordPress, or Shopify and confirm the intended site. Do a small reviewed publish before setting up a larger recurring workflow.

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and YouTube have different account and media requirements. A successful connection does not make every generated asset eligible for every format. Use the platform connection guides and review validation messages in the composer.

Budget credits before asking for a month of content

Choose the number of drafts and formats first, then inspect the generation estimate. Text, images, and reels have different costs, and video access can depend on the plan and enabled features. A free account is a way to try the workflow, not a promise of unlimited weekly batches.

Keep revisions focused. If a caption needs a new ending, refine the text. If the visual needs a new concept, confirm the cost of a graphic redo before starting it. Check the pricing page for the current allowance.

Keep a human review step in the weekly routine

AI can draft confidently from incomplete instructions. Verify offers against your actual pricing, check the spelling of people and products, and read every claim. Inspect the graphics as well as the caption, because a correct caption does not guarantee correct words in an image.

For recurring schedules, explicitly review how posts will be generated and published. Use drafts or your workspace's approval process when a person must check each item. Review expired offers and seasonal references before reusing older content.

    Frequently asked questions

Can AI automate an entire week of social media content?

AI can help plan and generate a batch, including text and visuals, and The Social Scheduler can schedule supported posts. You still need to review facts, media, destinations, plan allowances, and any required approvals. Generation capacity depends on credits and enabled features.

Does Barnabas publish as soon as I ask for ideas?

The chat workflow presents a plan for approval before generation. Review the resulting drafts, accept the content you want to use, and confirm publishing or scheduling settings. Recurring schedules have their own settings, which should be reviewed explicitly.

Can I request exact words on a graphic?

Yes. State the exact image text in your brief, separately from the caption. Check that it appears in the plan before generation, then inspect the finished graphic for spelling and placement before publishing.

Can I combine social posts with a blog or newsletter?

Yes. The platform supports social, blog, and email content workflows. Connect a supported blog or Mailchimp destination, adapt the topic for each audience, and confirm the right site or recipient audience before publishing or sending.
